AN AQUIDNECK CLUB WEDDING BY MASSART PHOTOGRAPHY, A RHODE ISLAND STUDIO FOCUSING ON WEDDING, MATERNITY, NEWBORN, HEADSHOTS, AND FAMILY PORTRAITURE.
Congratulations, Courtney and Connor! This summer, Courtney and Connor planned an elegant waterfront Harbor Lights wedding day in Warwick, RI. It was a gorgeous celebration and I’m so happy I could be with this incredible couple – and their loved ones as they said “I do”!
Courtney and Connor met through Tinder… and after 3 failed hang outs, they finally decided to (separately) meet up with friends at Two Ten Oyster Bar. Courtney recognized Connor right away and texted him, asking what he was up to. He jokes that he almost didn’t answer since she’d canceled on their hangouts several times. But he did. With a newfound confidence after Courtney messaged that she was downstairs at the same bar, he went down to talk to her. She offered him an oyster and now the rest is history! When Connor decided he was ready to propose, he planned a special meal for them at Coast Guard House. He told Courtney that they were going to sit at a table, when they usually sit at the bar. But, when they arrived – he chose the bar! A friend was helping setup a special table upstairs. After lunch, Connor asked Courtney if she wanted a sneak peek at the newly completed upstairs at the restaurant. As they headed upstairs, their families hid in the corner so when she turned and saw them! When Courtney turned back, Connor was on one knee – and obviously, she said yes!
Harbor Lights Wedding in Warwick RI
When I asked Courtney and Connor about their vision for they summer wedding day, I loved hearing that they were planning to be “unapologetically selfish” about their wants. They chose to plan without a wedding planner, but focused on each detail – making decisions about what would make them happiest. Even among all the happiness, Courtney and Connor wanted to honor those they lost recently – and I think they did so beautifully. They really wanted everyone to have fun and share the love. It was perfect!! Courtney and Connor leaned into an elegant palette of blush pink, ivory, and gold. It was the perfect accent for the Warwick venue. I loved that we even got a cotton candy sky during their portraits outside Harbor Lights! It was like the universe provided them with a vision to match their own!
Congratulations again, Courtney and Connor! I’m so happy I captured your gorgeous summer Harbor Lights wedding day!
