The Art of Rising
A Gifted Portrait Project by Massart Photography, Kristin Greene and Company, and Sarah Elizabeth
This project is for people who have gone through something difficult and are rebuilding: a divorce, illness, loss, personal transformation, or a moment of rediscovering themselves.
Each quarter, a limited number of portrait sessions are gifted to individuals navigating meaningful life transitions; people whose strength deserves to be seen and remembered.
This project isn’t about Pinterest holiday cards. (Nothing wrong with those!)
It’s about resilience.
Why We Created This
Over almost two decades, I’ve had the privilege of photographing people during some of the most significant moments of their lives.
What I’ve learned is that the most powerful portraits often happen in the middle of the story, not after everything is resolved.
This project is also personal for me. Life has thrown, and continues to throw, its share of challenges my way, and it has taught me to see the beauty in growth and to embrace even the difficult chapters. That perspective has been incredibly empowering, and I wanted to create something that offers that same feeling to others.
When I shared the idea, two women I admire, immediately felt the same pull.
Kristin Greene of Kristin Greene & Company and Sarah Elizabeth both believe deeply in supporting people through life’s transitions, and together we decided to make this project something truly meaningful.
This isn’t a promotion.
It’s something created with intention and heart.
The Experience
Participants selected for The Art of Rising receive a portrait experience designed to feel supportive, relaxed, and empowering.
Your experience includes:
• Professional hair and makeup by Kristin Greene & Company
• An energy grounding experience and personal, recorded visualization and affirmation created by Sarah Elizabeth
• A portrait session with Audrey of Audrey Massart Photography
• Guidance throughout the process
• Two images of your choice
The goal is simple: to create portraits that reflect the strength already within you.
A Note From Audrey
Photography has always been about more than images for me.
It’s about helping people see themselves with compassion and honesty.
Many people arrive feeling unsure or vulnerable, and somewhere in the process something shifts. They see their strength more clearly.
That moment, when someone recognizes their own resilience, is the heart of The Art of Rising.

Is this really complimentary?
Yes. A limited number of sessions are gifted each year as part of this project. Should you desire to invest in more than the two complimentary images the proceeds will be split among the three of us.
Who is this open to?
While many participants are women, this project is open to anyone navigating a meaningful life chapter.
Do I need modeling experience?
Not at all. Most people who participate have never done a professional photo session before.
Do I have to share my story publicly?
Only if you choose to.
