Wedding Photographers RI; Bianca and Alex’s Newport Beach House Wedding

Massart Wedding Photographers Capture a Newport, Rhode Island Summer Wedding
Wedding Photographers RI, CT, MA
Bianca and Alex got married at Newport Beach House in Newport, Rhode Island. They are an adorable couple…she’s tiny and beautiful like a doll and he’s strapping (yes I said strapping!) and handsome like a prince from a Disney movie. You know I love my Disney movies!
Anyway, this couple is extra special because they brought us two more people to love…Bianca’s parents, Glenn and Jane! When they first arrived at their consultation with her parents, we didn’t know what to expect. This sometimes creates some confusion for us with who is in charge. Do we run things by the bride and groom or the bride’s parents? But in this case, it just added to the fun! We did get to work with Glenn and Jane quite a bit, and it was a pleasure. It was pretty cool to see how enamored they are with their daughter because we feel the same way about our son, Knox. We can only hope to have the same type of relationship with him when he is an adult. They also adore Alex and treat him as their own, which is a beautiful thing to see. I want to say we hope to feel the same way about Knox’s wife someday…but seriously, Knox’s wife?? Can’t quite utter those words yet!
Moving on…
Bianca got ready at her parents’ house. Not only was it a gorgeous home full of beautiful photo opportunities, but it provided a lot of special childhood memories for them to share with us. There are some photos below of Bianca playing the piano with her cousin which may seem an odd choice for wedding portraits, but there is an old photo of them playing the same piano in the same spot when they were little girls. We just HAD to recreate it! It was a sweet moment and also a jolting reminder of how quickly time passes. There is another photo of Alex “proposing” to Bianca, which usually is not a shot I would take. It seems a bit out of place to me on a wedding day. However, in this case, they told us the exact spot where he proposed, so naturally…we had to do it!
It was a super sunny bright day (lucky them!) and if you’ve been following us recently, you know we are actually falling in love with the harsh light! The exact midday light we normally run away from (hence, our sunset sessions) has been doing wonders for our portraits. Let me just get a little geeky for a second here…we usually do portraits that have backgrounds either much darker or much lighter that our subjects because we want to put the focus on them. The bright sky actually helped us achieve that and I’m wondering why it took me so long to catch onto that! Of course, the soft sun light that drenched the room at Newport Beach House for reception entrances and the first dance was absolute perfection also so what can I say? We love it all! We actually ended up with so many great images that it took me longer than normal to edit. I had double the post processing work of our average wedding, so I really appreciate Bianca and Alex’s patience. I didn’t want to eliminate great images for the sake of time.
We couldn’t be happier for these newlyweds! They are such sweet people and deserving of a wonderful, joy-filled life together! Congratulations Bianca and Alex!

The picture in the left hand corner actually has sentimental value to Bianca! She and her cousin have the exact same photo at the piano from when they were little girls! So special!

I love the looks on all their faces as they watch Bianca walk down the stairs! Such a sweet moment to capture.

The bridesmaid’s shoe actually got stuck in the floor vent just as we were ready to leave for the ceremony! Thankfully Audrey jumped in to save the day and of course, Seth had to capture it!
Follow the story? Boys pose. Boys invite random girls into their photos. Girls are shocked. Girls seek revenge!

Oh, how I love a veil shot!

This picture was another recreation! This was the spot where Alex popped the question to Bianca!
