Wedding Photographers RI; Natalie and Scott’s OceanCliff Wedding
Massart Photographers capture an OceanCliff Wedding in Rhode Island
Wedding Photography in RI, CT, MA
Natalie and Scott tied the knot with a small, intimate wedding at the beautiful OceanCliff Resort in Newport, Rhode Island and I don’t think I can put into words how perfectly this wedding turned out. A good photographer can walk into any situation and combat light; that said, photographers aren’t magicians! I don’t think there has ever been a better outcome for an outdoor ceremony! There was pretty much a 100% chance of thunderstorms and we saw the clouds rolling in just five minutes before the ceremony! Since the ceremony was short and the crowd small, Natalie and Scott decided to take their chances… Guys, I hope you’ve been hitting the slot machines lately because luck is on your side! The thunderstorms we escaped left us with stunning, bright blue skies and the overcast setting allowed for gorgeous soft light. This geek talk translates to: we could shoot from any side and angle without having to worry about harsh, unflattering shadows! This is VERY exciting for photographers! Anyway, that’s enough of the boring stuff! Scroll down to see their beautiful wedding for yourselves!
How classy is this whole thing!?!?!
OBSESSED with this bouquet and these shoes! Peonies are my favorite 🙂
I wanted to be a guest at this wedding just so I could receive one of those fancy invitations!
LOVED this classy (insert synonym) wedding dress and it fit Natalie SO well!
Natalie’s daughter is helping her put on her wedding dress and they peek out the window to take in the weather!
There’s something I find very peaceful and elegant about a bride putting on her shoes <3
Natalie’s daughter is helping her with her veil, does it get any sweeter??
And they take a moment before the ceremony. I hope that they look back on this photo someday and relive it…
About to become sisters <3 Last second decision on this weather!
A few elegant portraits of the bride!
Everyone helping each other before the ceremony
I love this dramatically lit portrait of Natalie walking to the ceremony
Since this was a small intimate wedding, our coverage was altered which is why you wont see photos of the handsome groom getting ready (plus he was fully dressed when we arrived!) but we wanted to catch a couple portraits of him! You matter too Scott!!!!
A sweet moment between friends before the ceremony
A couple of emotional men watching some pretty ladies walk down the aisle!
One of my favorite things to capture (as I’m writing this, I’m realizing that I have lots of favorite things lol but hey that’s not a bad problem to have!) is the couple’s friends and family’s emotion during the ceremony. There is so much going on so quickly that there is no way a bride and groom ever get to take it all in, which is why we do our best to let them relive it from a different perspective.
A minor disadvantage of church ceremonies is that photographers are severely limited in where they can go; this is why we take advantage of outdoor ceremonies to capture the bride and groom fully as they are exchanging their vows and rings. Isn’t that what the day is about after all?
I love this small gesture of support and comfort. Way to go Scott 🙂
Two happy kids just got hitched!
Oh my, this melts me… About to officially be related!
These sweet moments are my favorites. (insert synonym for favorite… oh and for synonym too! I really need to hire a writer! Anyone interested?)
How cute is Natalie’s son’s expression as he watches his mom and step dad walk out of the ceremony????
Nothing like pure glee to make for a beautiful photograph
You’re married, cheers!!!
A few family portraits! You guys really have wonderful children, well done 😉
I have a thing for grandparents… Mom was so sweet too!
This was fun! Says the person who instructed two grown men to pick up and throw a bunch of petals 😉
We clearly were having way too much fun!!!!
The Ocean Cliff archway, an antique Packard AND this classy couple?
I love that Scott is in there…. a little bit…. 🙂
One of my favorites for no reason other than their genuine expression Ok, I might have gone overboard with Natalie’s portraits but really, do you blame me??? We sort of had a mini modeling shoot in the driveway!
I adore this so much I had to give it its own collage!
Something a bit different than our usual!
Their first dance
Headed to sit down as husband and wife
We couldn’t resist heading back out for a few sunset photos!
One of Nick’s amazing ring shots to leave you off with!
Natalie and Scott, it truly was a pleasure to get the honor of being part of your beautiful day! Congratulations!
