Wedding Photographers RI; Kristen and Dan’s Newport Regatta Place Wedding

Massart Photographers capture a Regatta Place Wedding
Wedding photography in RI, CT, MA
Kristen and Dan had a remarkably elegant event that started with them getting ready at the Hyatt and ended at Regatta Place both on Goat Island in beautiful Newport, RI. Their day was filled with tons of emotion, great family, and love to spare.
However, let’s back up a little bit to when we met the bride and groom….after our initial meeting with Kristen and Dan, we knew they were a special couple. Fast forward a few days and we happen to run into them at a local pet adoption event. It was at that moment that we truly connected with them and, coincidentally, it was then that Kristen and Dan knew without a doubt that we were the right photographers to capture their wedding day. We didn’t end up getting (ANOTHER) dog but they brought home Ellie and the rest is history.
As you scroll through their day, don’t try to hold back the smiles. Just let them happen!

The groom had some pretty cool cufflinks. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but he ended up wearing ones that the bride got for him…
I “mustache” you if you are ready to get married?
Even Justin Bieber wanted to have a cigar with some Johnny Walker Blue label and join the festivities!
Wait: Justin Bieber DID make an appearance!…along with a sign that it’s really supposed to be inside the hotel room 😉
Putting a gorgeous wedding dress in front of a window at the end of a hallway give us all the feels!
Regatta Place from the Hyatt on Goat Island. You can even see the mega yacht behind the building!
Wait, did one of the photographers sneak in the photo? More to the point, is Dan sitting on my lap? Don’t you judge 😉
We <3 the maid of honor, Laura! A few months before the wedding, we got to photograph her adorable little guy.
We love the classic feel of this wedding dress and all the other details!
Check out how cool the peonies look in the bride’s bouquet.
Audrey loves succulents so you can imagine her surprise when she saw what the boutonnieres were.
We are about to do the first look and what do we see going by?? Is that a boat named “First Look” that just so happens to be the same color as the bridesmaids dresses ?
For the exchanging of gifts, they set up the portable wall at Regatta Place so they couldn’t see each other until the actual first look 🙂
Dan and Kristen being Dan and Kristen!
Look at the smile on the groom’s face. Pure happiness.
We love that the bride and groom were up for doing some different posing.
This perfectly shows that even with a first look, it’s still just as special when a groom sees his bride walking down the aisle.
The look(s) of love!
They are officially husband and wife!
We usually tell couples to shy away from a list of Pinterest ideas as they can monopolize the limited time that we have for portraits, but once and a while we don’t mind!
Isn’t Regatta Place gorgeous??
When the sister of the bride is pregnant, a maternity photo or two is a must.
A VW bus photo booth? So cute! It’s a good thing Audrey was working or she would have tried to drive off into the sunset with it!
Victor Events rocked the night, as usual.
The new Mr. and Mrs.
Nice dip, Dan!
We loved the simple yet elegant wedding cake.
I figured it would be weird to have me in the blog twice without a good reason, so I guess we will have Victor, the DJ, and Bruce, the videographer, and Audrey in here also!
The maid of honor couldn’t see because her eyes were tearing up. The best man couldn’t see because he had on sunglasses at night ?
It’s time to boogie on down!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs Pereira!!
