We met Christiana and John through a former bride and good friend, Sabrina Miele of Salon Sapphire by Sabrina Marie. She and her husband Mike are the sweetest people who we’ve been lucky to get to know over the course of several photo shoots (engagement, wedding, wedding encore, boudoir, trash the dress…the list goes on!) and maybe a glass of wine or two. ? It was no surprise that Christiana and John were equally wonderful to work with! John was so extremely easy going and so kind to us. The same can be said for Christiana; funny thing is, she had a fan that said “bridezilla” and I had to laugh because she was the COMPLETE opposite. They both trusted us with anything we asked and made our day so fun!
The wedding ceremony was held on September 30, 2017 at the The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence. This church is breathtakingly gorgeous! With Christiana’s singing background, are we even a little surprised that they had a full orchestra sing during the ceremony? Hearing the orchestra during the ceremony was so moving. Is that cheesy of us?? Maybe, but true!
After the ceremony we headed over to the John Brown House to take formal photos. This is such a lovely historical location in the heart of Providence. What makes it so unique in that it is located in the middle of the city but doesn’t feel that way at all…being there really transports you to another place and time. Cheesy again?? Probably…
After formals, we went down to Waterplace Park where John and Christiana had rented a gondola to take them for a quick ride which made for an AMAZING photo op! Soooo romantic! Also comical because it forced Seth to run along the water’s edge like a mad man with a camera and two lenses strapped to his hips trying to capture the perfect shot! Worth every penny Christiana and John! Seriously though, this made for some pretty amazing and unique photos.
Next we were on to the Biltmore, an iconic venue right in downtown Providence. This is a location that truly never disappoints! It’s historical and elegant, with top notch service. With all of this being said, the highlight of the reception still had to be when Christiana performed with BOTH of her bands, Blurred Vision and Ambrosiana. What a voice! Everyone was surprised and thrilled to watch her perform…but no one more than her new husband John, who beamed with pride and admiration the entire time, smiling from ear to ear. Yeah, we caught ya John! ?
What a wonderful night and a beautiful celebration of love! Congratulations Christiana and John! We wish you nothing but joy and happiness together!

- Something about this one… 🙂
- Admiring Christiana <3
- No animal was hurt during the making of this image!
- We love the way the sun streamed into the church through the stained glass!
- I don’t care if it’s cliche! Sometimes, a good walking shot is necessary!
- Goofs!
- I spy some admirers!
- We never get sick of the Biltmore’s ballroom!
- I don’t usually include entrances in blog posts but sometimes, ya just have to make an exception! ?
- When I grow up, I want to be just like them!!!
- Touching family moment.
- Christiana dedicated a dance to her parents, on the tape was her singing as a little girl followed by her singing as a grown talented woman. The change in her voice was so moving, it reminded me of the little mermaid getting her voice back. Corny I know but what else is new?
- The flambe performance never disappoints!
- We absolutely loved listening to Christiana sing with her band… such a special moment!!!
- It was a little chilly for an outdoor shot but we are loving the setting inside The Biltmore <3
