Devon and Tyler came to us on a referral from JPod Films (thanks guys!). We clicked with them from our very first consultation, but we realized the true depth of their awesomeness during their engagement session about six months later. All of our friends know that we are always on the lookout for cool new locations to shoot and with the amazing group of friends we have, you’d be amazed at how many times one of them will message and say “there is this cool field/abandoned building/weathered bridge that you guys should take a look at!” WE’VE GOT EYES EVERYWHERE! This was the case when our friend Amanda spotted a field of wildflowers near the side of the road by the airport. She sent us a photo and we immediately knew that we just HAD to take Devon and Tyler there to shoot some of their engagement portraits. Ummm, sure…we want to do your photos on the side of Airport Road. That oughta go over well! Shockingly, there were unfazed! They trusted our vision and didn’t question us for a second. They didn’t even get nervous when Seth started sprinkling pink flower petals over their heads to help Audrey get the perfect shot! After that, we knew their wedding was going to be a blast!
On October 1, 2017, Devon and Tyler got married at OceanCliff in Newport. They did their first look under the well known arch on the resort property, and it was so adorable to witness how excited they were to see each other!
Their ceremony was outside on the ocean’s edge…absolutely picturesque. Of course, as luck would have it, just as Devon was walking down the aisle, a giant cruise ship passed behind the trellis and tooted its horn! Everyone got a good laugh out of that, including the bride and groom! The rest of the night went off without a hitch and was such a lovely celebration of a very sweet couple.
Oh and we can’t forget the highlight of the reception…the photo booth provided by DJ Luke Renchan! Why was it the highlight?? Because they had huge cardboard cutouts of their dog, Coco, made for people to use in the photo booth. Did we mention they love their dog?! Not that we can blame them!
Congratulations newlyweds! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us! We wish you lots of love and happiness!
